Lotus Energy Recycling (LER) Goes Global: A New $250M Circular Economy Hub in Saxony, Germany

A Facility Designed for the Future

Our new 24,000 sqm site in Leipzig isn't just a factory; it is a living example of the green values we advocate for. By integrating industrial power with ecological restoration, we are proving that heavy-duty recycling can exist in harmony with nature.

Key features of the Saxony facility include

  • Net-Zero Operations: Our goal is total carbon neutrality, powered by over 2MW of on-site solar generation.
  • Green Infrastructure: The site will feature an expansive green roof, indigenous local plants, and even on-site beehives to support local biodiversity.
  • Integrated Logistics: A dedicated private rail link will allow us to transport thousands of tonnes of panels across Europe with a fraction of the carbon footprint of road freight.

Closing the Loop: Critical Mineral Recovery

As Europe accelerates its energy transition, the demand for critical minerals is skyrocketing. Our Saxony facility will act as a "secondary mine," utilizing our proprietary technology to extract high-purity materials from decommissioned panels and send them straight back to the industry. By recovering silver, silicon, aluminium, and copper, we are reducing the European manufacturing sector's reliance on destructive primary mining and volatile global supply chains.

Why Saxony?

Saxony has a rich industrial heritage and is rapidly becoming a global "Silicon Crossroads." The support from InvestRegion Leipzig and the German government ensures that LER is positioned at the heart of Europe’s solar belt. This facility will create hundreds of green jobs and provide a scalable blueprint for the next generation of recycling infrastructure.
